Vital signs, accurate patient intake, charting, and recordkeeping practices.

Week 4: In-Person Lab (Saturday)
Hands-on practice with CPR/BLS, PPE application and removal, and foundational phlebotomy skills.

Week 5: Anatomy & Neurology (Online)
Structure and function of body systems, with a focus on the nervous system and its role in patient care.

Week 6: Pediatric Growth Assessment (Online)
Developmental milestones and how to assess growth patterns in pediatric patients.

Week 7: Patient Scheduling & Triage (Online)
Best practices for managing appointments, follow-ups, triage calls, and workflow efficiency in a clinical setting.

Hands-on practice with vision and hearing screening, pediatric vital signs, and ear irrigation procedures.

Week 9: Pharmacology & Medication Administration (Online)
Common medications, dosage calculations, and safe administration practices in clinical settings.

Analyzing blood samples, interpreting common lab results, and understanding their clinical relevance.

Week 11: Endocrine & Urinary Systems (Online)
Structure, function, and common disorders of the endocrine and urinary systems.

Week 12: In-Person Lab (Saturday)
Hands-on practice with urinalysis, rapid testing for influenza and strep, and EKG lead placement with basic rhythm interpretation.

Week 13: Microbiology & Lab Safety (Online)
Microorganisms relevant to human health, their role in infection, and clinical laboratory safety fundamentals.

Week 14: Medical Billing, Insurance & Coding (Online)
Healthcare reimbursement, insurance claims, coding systems, and documentation accuracy.

Week 15: Cardiopulmonary & Emergency Response (Online)
Emergency response techniques and procedures for managing respiratory and cardiac events in clinical settings.

Week 16: In-Person Lab + CCMA Exam Prep (Saturday)
Hands-on wound care, nebulizer treatments, and final CCMA exam review — plus your 80-hour externship at a live medical office to complete the program.
A Typical Week
Live Online Sessions
60-90 minutes per week of live, instructor-led Zoom sessions where you'll learn medical terminology, clinical concepts, and patient care procedures — guided by expert instructors.
Guided Self-Study
About 3-4 hours per week of structured assignments and materials you'll complete before each class — designed to fit around your busy schedule.
Monthly In-Person Labs
One full-day Saturday lab per month (8 AM-8 PM) for hands-on practice with real medical equipment — 44 lab hours total, plus an 80-hour externship in a live medical office to complete the program.
